CHEROKEE SWIM TEAM ASSOCIATION (CSTA) – Swim Team Parent Representatives –The Cherokee Swim Team Association (CSTA) operates under the authority of Cherokee Town and Country Club’s Family, Swim & Fitness (FSF) Committee. The CSTA’s objectives are to promote the growth and interest in the swim team at Cherokee. The CSTA ensures our Club continues its tradition of excellence in swimming by providing our children expert coaching in a fun and competitive environment.

* Terms for the CSTA Board are one-year terms (September 1st – August 31st)
**The President serves as the CSTA’s liaison on the FSF Committee. If he or she cannot attend, they may send another CSTA Board member in his or her place

Prerequisites:

• To serve on the CSTA Board requires a minimum of two years of experience volunteering during the swim meets.
• To serve as President requires a three-year commitment. One year serving as Vice President, one year as President, and one year as Past President.
• CSTA Board members vote & elect the Vice President and its on-coming Board members.

Volunteers:
70+ volunteer opportunities per meet to get involved with the CSTA:

• Bullpen Parents/Leaders
• Bullpen Helpers (6&Under, 7&8, 9&10)
• Substitute Helpers (11&12, 13&14)
• Swimmer/Volunteer Check-in Attendants
• Head Timer
• Timers (2-shifts per meet)
• Ribbon Clerks
• Heat Winners Awards Distributors (home meets only)
• Announcer (home meets only)
